Engagement in a Bottle
This wasn’t out first engagement on the boat (third, in fact, and we’ll be helping Paul and Michelle celebrate their mini-moon later this season), but Kenny was the first to do it in such a unique way.
Originally, he had planned to propose on the beach the evening before, scheduling the sail as a celebratory trip, but the weather was not in his favor. When we found out, we helped him adapt his “message in a bottle” plan to work on the boat. Their captain, Pascal, tied up the bottle, hanging it off the side of the boat. At just the right time, he asked Emily to check the tiller; it felt like something was stuck there. Sure enough, she pulled up her very special message in a bottle, and said yes to an excited Kenny.
